Our school is a very special place where we enjoy learning together. I am delighted to be telling you about our school, which is located in the beautiful rural village of Ingleton. We have excellent facilities including, our spacious school buildings, outdoor climbing equipment and large school field overlooking the countryside. We offer places to children from age 3-11, including wrap around care from 8am until 5.30pm.
We strive to have high academic standards for all and continually strive for excellence. We believe everyone is unique and has the right to develop not only academically but also culturally, socially and spiritually. As a church school, we promote strong Christian values and ensure every child feels valued, safe and nurtured. Our school is united by love, care and compassion and our whole school is like one big family.
Visitors are always welcome to our school, so please do not hesitate to get in touch if you would like to come and look around. I shall be delighted to show you around our school and discuss with you and your child/ren what we are able to offer.

About Our School
Ingleton Church of England Primary School has been in the village since 1816 and the current school was built in 1967 . It is set in the beautiful countryside of south-west Durham, part of Teesdale. We welcome children from all over County Durham and Darlington.
In 2016 we celebrated 200 years of Ingleton Church of England Primary School.
The building has four classrooms, with the addition of a new EYFS classroom ‘The Hive’ (September 2015) . We have very spacious grounds which includes a wooden chalet and gardening areas. The school looks over farmland and the hills and dales beyond and is a very busy place.
We have a Pre-School integrated within our Early Years Area where we have places available full time, Monday to Friday, mornings and afternoons for 3 and 4 year olds. We offer 30 hours free childcare for eligible 3 & 4 year olds. Please contact the school office for more details or to request a place.
There is also Wrap Around Childcare (Scoolkids) available during term time. This opens before school at 8am and is available after school until 5.30pm. There are costs associated with this and booking forms are available or please contact the school office.
